Rattan Craftsman Shop Miura Rattan President visit to HIROSHIMA
President Obama will be visiting as the incumbent american president for the first time in Hiroshima.
As a Hiroshima citizen and child of atomoic bomb victim special thought comes.
My father Hanaich Miura founded our store as a baby buggy bisiness of the rattan in Hiroshima.
On august 6th 1945 the atom bomb was dropped 1.2km away from my house.
The power of the bomb was astonishing and it burned down the land of Hiroshima and lead many people to death.
That time my father finished the training of the firefighting team and he, my mother and my sisters were having breakfast and having the break.
They were protected the by roof of the house from a severe flash of light somehow.
But his daughter 15 years old and son 12 years old they died while doing student mobilization.
He lost his pupil too.
After the bomb dropped they moved to the island that was his country of birth.
I was born there 1947.
A few years later we moved back to Hiroshima and my father restarted his rattan business.
70 years passed from the atomic bomb coming down , town of Hiroshima accomplished development as it was not thought from that burnt field.
My father passed away 13years ago my mother has spent the rest of her life carmly.
Our company has been open 90 years this year. I think that was forward one step for incumbent president’s Hiroshima visit was reality.
The current peace consists on japan, the united states, Asia, war victims of the world as well as the holy sacrifice of the Hiroshima citizen.
My father experienced an atomic bomb and watched the people who hate each other and grieved over other when even my father who lost all said “we had to pray peace and the victims soul may rest in peace” during the lifetime.
We thank for continuing doing this rattan business and pray soul of the victim of the war may rest in peace.
It thinks with a mission to convey this thought to continue from the first generation to the next generation.
